About Your Instructor
CLAIRE MARIE AYAAY
I graduated with a research major from the University of the Philippines and began my career as a research assistant at an economics think tank. I later worked as a stock market analyst for a stock brokerage firm before pursuing my MBA at the University of Salford in England. After completing my master's degree, I spent six years in corporate planning at a large TV broadcasting company.
After my son was born, I felt a strong desire to teach and support children's development. I was inspired by the remarkable progress my then three-year old son made through the Kumon program, which led me to acquire Kumon of El Segundo in 2009. I've been an instructor ever since.
Now that my son is in college at UCLA, I continue to find deep fulfillment in helping children of all abilities build strong academic foundations, develop discipline, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to one day doing Kumon with my grandchildren—and with the children of my former Kumon students.
