Head Instructor - Chad Lomax
Chad holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business, reflecting his strong analytical and leadership skills. His diverse experience includes working as a substitute teacher, serving as a high school and middle school wrestling referee, and volunteering within the local school district. Chad is also a veteran, having served in the US Army, which further underscores his dedication and commitment.
Raised in Fairbanks, Chad has deep roots in the community and has actively contributed to local education through his roles and volunteer work. He has raised two sons who graduated from local schools, reinforcing his personal connection to and investment in the community. Chad’s passion for education and mentoring is evident in his work as a Kumon instructor, where he creates personalized study plans and inspires students to build self-confidence and independence. His dedication to helping students succeed is fueled by his desire to see them grow into motivated, capable individuals who contribute positively to society.
Center Director - Jasmine Boone
Jasmine brings a unique blend of real-world experience and heartfelt dedication in business management and customer service to her role as Center Director. As a former business owner and with extensive expertise in finance, Jasmine understands the importance of discipline, integrity, and nurturing growth in every aspect of life. Managing the Kumon of Fairbanks - Greater Interior Alaska is her full-time passion. Jasmine is dedicated to ensuring that each day runs smoothly so that the head instructor can devote their full attention to what matters the most: the students.
Jasmine believes that every child has the potential to thrive when given the right tools and environment. She is passionate about instilling confidence and healthy study habits in students, empowering them to become positive, contributing members of society. Jasmine’s genuine love for helping others and her commitment to community success make her an invaluable leader at our center, where she strives to create a space where every child feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential.
