About the Center

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Gilbert!

We are conveniently located at the northeast corner of Val Vista Drive & Guadalupe Road - at the Stein Mart / Petco Plaza.

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to succeed and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here.

Didn't finish your homework or corrections before class?
Things happen - it's all right. All homework worksheets not completed and corrected will be addressed before the day's assigned worksheets are given - this will make the duration of your child's session longer.

Going to be absent from you class session?
Call (480.813.1153) and let us know! You can come-in and pick up your child's make-up worksheets.

Going on vacation?
Give us a 2-weeks prior notice and we'll prepare the necessary work for the duration.

Taking a break?
You can take a one month "leave-of-absence" from the program - this is common during the summer. Beyond this, your child's placement will have to be retested. Re-registration fees apply.

Leaving the Program?
We'll miss you! We need a 30-day notice prior to your child's withdrawal. We'll conclude with an overall review of your child's progress toward their goals.
