KALA RAMESH
Hi! Welcome to the Kumon Center Math and Reading Center of Glen Allen - Cross Ridge, located in the Cross Ridge shopping center in Glen Allen, Va.
I am Kala Ramesh and I am the center director. My journey with Kumon began several years ago as a Kumon parent. I was inspired by the program and its effectiveness and this motivated me to become an instructor. I draw upon my experience as a Kumon parent to be a more effective and empathetic instructor. I strive to be the mentor who guides all my students to not only achieve success academically, but also motivate them to reach their full potential as effective individuals. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.
Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. I have a masters degree in analytical chemistry and worked in R&D prior to opening my first center in 2005. Over the years, I have helped several students complete the math and or reading programs or achieve their goals of catching up to grade level, or achieve their targeted goals. Most importantly, through the program, I have helped them develop self confidence and a " can do" attitude!
