About Your Instructor

Vivian Ko

My name is Vivian Ko and I am the certified Kumon Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center in Hartsdale.

I am a certified educator with over 20 years of experience working with students across a wide range of academic levels. Throughout my career, I have cultivated a deep understanding of effective teaching practices and student engagement.

In 2022, I completed Kumon’s intensive training program and became a certified instructor. Since then, I’ve proudly led Kumon of Hartsdale, helping students thrive academically and personally. My approach emphasizes strong positive study skills/habits, academic excellence, and a safe learning environment filled with smiles and high fives.
I hold multiple New York State certifications, including:
District/School Building Leadership
Literacy (Birth–Grade 12)
Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 6)
General Education (Birth–Grade 12)

With this background, I am well equipped to support and inspire your children on their educational journey.

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
