About Your Instructor
Shirin Osouli Ghareh Aghaji
Hello, my name is Shirin, and I am passionate about helping students grow with confidence, independence, and a love of learning. My journey has always been centered around working with people and supporting their success. I spent over 12 years in an educational environment and also worked as a Director in a university’s student affairs department, where I supported students in many aspects of their academic and personal lives.
Through these experiences, I developed a deep understanding of how to listen, guide, and respond to each individual’s needs—skills I bring into my Kumon center every day. I believe that every child learns differently, and with the right structure, encouragement, and consistency, they can achieve more than they imagine.
I chose to become a Kumon instructor because I strongly believe in its philosophy of developing independent learners and building strong foundational skills. I was inspired by how Kumon encourages students to progress at their own pace while gaining confidence through daily practice and achievement. This approach aligns deeply with my own values of patience, consistency, and empowering each child to discover their full potential.
As a mother, I understand how important it is for families to feel supported and confident in their child’s education. At my center, families can expect a welcoming, organized, and caring environment where each student is guided step by step to build strong skills and self-confidence.
Outside of teaching, I am an artist who enjoys painting, and creativity plays an important role in my life. I bring that same balance of creativity and discipline into my teaching approach.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your child on their colorful learning journey.
