About Your Instructor
SHELLEY REN
Ms. Shelley has been a dedicated Kumon Instructor since 2011 and a Kumon parent since 2009. A longtime member of the HB community and a mother of four, she brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her role. Her two older children completed the Kumon program and now attend Ivy League/T15 universities, while her younger two are still enrolled. Having witnessed firsthand how Kumon builds strong study habits, confidence, and independence, Ms. Shelley is passionate about helping other children achieve similar success. She understands that every child is unique and works closely with families to create individualized study plans that support each student’s growth.
As a certified Instructor, Ms. Shelley serves as a mentor who provides consistent guidance and encouragement. She monitors progress, emphasizes accuracy and time management, and partners with parents to address challenges and celebrate growth. Her goal is to help students discover their potential, experience a sense of accomplishment in their daily work, and grow into confident, self-reliant learners. For Ms. Shelley, the greatest reward is watching children flourish and realize what they’re truly capable of.
