About Your Instructor
Shailja Ginwala
I am Shailja Ginwala, a passionate and dedicated instructor at your neighborhood Kumon of Leander East. With a profound belief in the transformative power of education, I am committed to guiding and inspiring young minds through the Kumon method.
I began my journey in education more than ten years ago in the Montessori system as a Montessori-certified teacher. Working closely with students of different ages, I witnessed the incredible impact of the Montessori approach on their learning and growth. This experience taught me the value of focusing on each child's needs, encouraging hands-on learning, and fostering their independence.
As I transitioned into my role as a Kumon instructor, I carried with me the valuable insights and practices I gained during my Montessori tenure. The principles of personalized learning, nurturing independence, and creating a stimulating environment have seamlessly merged into my Kumon instruction. By embracing the best of both worlds, I have been able to provide a holistic and enriching educational experience for my students.
My own two daughters have been on this Kumon journey of learning Math and Reading for 7 years, and I have experienced significant growth in their learning abilities by building a strong foundation in Math and Reading, as well as making them independent and disciplined in doing their schoolwork.
I look forward to embarking on this exciting learning journey together and positively impacting the lives of the students at your neighborhood Kumon Center.
