About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center. For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program.

Policies

IN-PERSON CLASSES

  • All students are scheduled in half-hour time blocks per subject (up to 1 hour). You will select your scheduled time with the instructor during the initial enrollment. Students can attend classes up to twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • The Kumon classroom has to be a quiet study area so that everyone can concentrate. We respectfully ask parents to wait in their vehicle while students attend class.
  • MASKS are recommended for in-person classes.
  • Students are required to use sanitizer before entering the class.

ABSENCES/ PICK-UP

  • If you ever have to miss a class, the student’s homework will be automatically placed outside of the front door in a gray container. You may come at any time to retrieve the missed work. One week's worth of homework will be provided, and please remember to drop-off completed homework when picking up.

HOME GRADING

  • We highly encourage parents grading at home. This will provide your student immediate feedback and allow them to learn from correcting their mistakes right away. This will also allow your student to progress more quickly and give you insight into your children’s daily academic enrichment process.
