LEGISLATOR FERRETTI CONGRATULATES RECIPIENTS AT THE KUMON MATH AND READING CENTER AT AWARDS CEREMONY

Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. was privileged to be the keynote speaker at the Kumon Learning Center of Levittown Awards on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Awards were given in many categories honoring students’ academic achievement in both the math and reading comprehension program. Legislator Ferretti said “I am so proud of all my young constituents!”


Kumon is the world’s largest after-school math and reading enrichment program that helps give its students stronger independence and concentration, greater confidence and improved math and reading comprehension skills.

Kumon Math and Reading Center of Levittown, NY awards more than 120 local students’ with academic achievement awards.

Kumon Math and Reading Center of Levittown, NY hosted its 2nd annual awards ceremony on Sunday June 7, 2015 at Levittown Hall in Hicksville, NY. Awards were given in many categories honoring students’ academic achievement in both the math and reading comprehension program. Over 250 parents, grand-parents, relatives and friends attended the ceremony. Kumon North America was represented by Manhattan Branch Office Manager Sinu Mathew and Field Consultant Keith Zimmerman. TV Asia’s Community Roundup was also present and covered the event for their viewers.  After the presentation the students and families were treated to dinner and a show performed by Mad Science-Long Island.

Kumon is the world’s largest after-school math and reading enrichment program. Students of all ages visit the Kumon Center twice each week after school. The result of this extra study is stronger independence and concentration, greater confidence and improved math and reading comprehension skills. Kumon’s learning method uses an individualized approach aimed at unlocking the potential of children. Through daily practice and mastery of materials, students develop better study and test-taking skills.

How to Enroll Your Child

Step 1
Call the center to book a free Parent Orientation and Placement Test for your child.
Step 2
Attend the Parent Orientation, and have your child take the placement test. Meet with your instructor to learn about Kumon’s individualized learning method, and review the results from your child’s placement test.
Step 3
Review your child’s progress goal plan. Based on your child’s placement test results, the instructor will create a one-year academic plan to help your child reach his or her goals.
Step 4
Enroll your child. Students will attend the center twice a week, and complete daily assignments at home. Your instructor will design an individualized lesson plan for your child that will be monitored, and changed as needed to be sure he or she is on track to reach his or her goals.
Step 5
Schedule your 30-day post-enrollment meeting. Your instructor will set a date to meet with your family after 30 days of enrollment to evaluate your child’s performance and ensure the program is going smoothly.
