Center Attendance and Guidelines:
Parents/guardians shall be fully responsible for dropping off and picking up a student to/from the Center. After a student is dropped-off, the parent/guardian must be aware of the time for pick-up. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that a student is not wandering outside of the main classroom. Therefore, parent/guardian must not leave a student in the Center waiting at the end of the study session. Parents/guardians are advised that each student’s study session may vary in length according to the time it takes the student to complete his/her assigned classwork. The Center is not responsible for supervising a student once his/her classwork has been completed.
The Center strives to provide a distraction-free environment for our students and requests that parents/guardians/family members in the waiting area treat the Center as a “Silent Zone” and refrain from any activity, which may cause distraction to the students. Food or drinks are not permitted inside the Center premises. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
All students are scheduled for a specific time slot per subject. Parents/guardians must not bring the student outside of his/her scheduled time slot, unless this has been specifically cleared by the Instructor or the Chief Assistant. Students are expected to attend the Center twice a week for a 20 to 30 minute session per subject, once a week attendance is permitted with Instructor permission. Families select a time slot of 30 min for one subject and 60 min for two subject and are expected to attend class during the selected time each week.
Missed Classes
If a student knows he/she will miss a class, additional homework can be prepared. If you know in advance that your child will be out for an extended period of time (e.g. vacation), please give the Instructor at least a week notice, so the work can be prepared in advance. If the absence is unexpected or no notice is given, the student or parent should arrange to pick up the missed work from the Center.
