How long have you been an Instructor?
Since 2003

What did you do before Kumon?
I was a fashion merchandiser and product manager in the garment business before I decided to stay home with my two girls; although, this “break” didn’t last very long. Once we enrolled my daughter, in Kumon, I realized I too wanted to be a Kumon Instructor.

What made you become a Kumon Instructor?
I’ve always had a strong belief that children can develop to their full potential if you let them. I’ve witnessed this firsthand with my own two daughters. When I enrolled my first daughter in Kumon, at a very young age, I saw the great impact and benefit this program had on her development. Seeing my own children grow not only in learning, but with confidence as well made me further believe in Kumon’s philosophy of Independent Learning.

What is your favorite thing about being a Kumon Instructor?
I always love working with children, but their energy is my favorite. Helping them to discover and achieve their goals makes me happy!

Do you have any hobbies?
I am a big foodie and enjoy cooking. I also consider myself creative and like to design jewelry using beads and metalwork. Lastly, I’m also a Master Gardener.

What it is an interesting fact about you that not everybody knows?
My family is a TRUE Kumon family. Both of my daughters are program completers and my husband is also a Kumon Instructor as well.

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
