About Your Instructor
Ramyaa Mathialagan
I (Maya) come from a family who greatly cared about children's education and enrichment. My Kumon Journey started as a Kumon Mother since 2014. My daughter started Kumon as a preschooler and became a very confident, independent middle schooler who skipped grades and advanced to higher grades without struggle, in all A honors classes. My first-grade son is currently pursuing the 5th grade level in the Kumon program. After experiencing the program’s benefits through my own kids, I wanted all the children in the community to experience the same benefits. I pursued my Master’s in Chemical Science at Brandeis University, MA (USA). Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I worked as a Researcher for 8 years in a leading Petrochemical Industry. I decided to open my first Kumon center in Mont Belvieu to spread the knowledge and confidence around the community. I always thrive to learn new things and have a strong belief that age is not a barrier. I am very organized, creative and love to spend my time developing activities to motivate kids in the center.
