About Your Instructor
Min (Karen) Han
My journey with Kumon began as a student after moving to the United States at the age of 10. While learning a new language, Kumon helped me build the confidence and strong reading skills I needed to thrive in school. That experience inspired my lifelong passion for helping children discover what they are capable of.
Teaching has always been my passion. I earned my master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and spent more than 15 years teaching in elementary school classrooms. When my daughter was born, I chose to step away from the traditional classroom to spend more time with her. Becoming a Kumon Instructor gave me the opportunity to continue doing what I love most—building students' confidence, celebrating their progress, and partnering with families to help every child succeed.
My goal is to help students develop not only strong academic skills, but also the confidence, perseverance, and independence to become lifelong learners. It is a privilege to be part of each child's learning journey, and I look forward to welcoming your family to our Kumon community.
