About the Center

Introduction

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Pasadena-East! We are conveniently located on Fairmont Parkway between Space Center and Center street in the Allen Center shopping complex.

Our mission is to help your kids get prepared and reach their full potential. It all begins with a strong foundation in mathematics and reading. Kids can then build on that foundation as they strive to achieve their full potential. Whether your child is a preschooler, struggling in school, or an advanced student seeking challenging work, the Kumon Center of Pasadena-East is ready to tailor a math and reading curriculum that will benefit them.

We are committed to developing not just your child’s Math & Reading skills but also their time management, auditing and self-learning skills. Excellent math and reading skills are vital to your child’s success in academics, and our focus is on your child mastering Kumon concepts that have contributed to the success of so many throughout the world. A dedicated instructor and staff are ready to get your child started on a journey that will bring smiles for years to come.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. Learn more information about the Kumon Math Program.

Policies

Center Cleanliness Policy

In an effort to mitigate the spread of infection, we ask our Parents and Students support by following the policies below:

· Students should bring their own pencil and eraser. This will minimize the sharing of supplies and spread of germs.

· Students should adhere strictly to their scheduled time slot.

· Students/Parents should use hand sanitizer upon entrance into the center.

· Parents should not congregate in the parent waiting area.

· Avoid using restrooms at the Kumon Center.

We highly recommend wearing masks if you are 10 years and older.

If you suspect your child has contracted any illness, it is important that he/she does not attend Kumon until he/she is no longer symptomatic. Thank you for your help in keeping our children and our Kumon Center healthy.

Here are a few tips from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention

· Teach your children to wash their hands often. Washing with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds is ideal. (That’s about as long as it takes to sing the “Happy Birthday” song twice).

· Teach your children the proper use of hand sanitizer in case they do not have access to a sink for washing their hands. Gels, rubs, and hand wipes all work well, as long as they contain at least 60% alcohol and if the hands are not visibly soiled. Hand wipes must be disposed of properly. Always read and follow label instructions when using hand sanitizer.

· Teach your children to keep their hands away from their face and avoid touching their mouth, nose, or eyes when possible.

· Teach your children to cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or by coughing into their sleeve or the inside of their elbow – not their hands. If a tissue is used, it should be thrown out immediately.
