About Your Instructor
Sugantha Sudhakar
Dear Prospective parents,
Thank you for visiting our center's website and researching for your child's academic enrichment. I have graduated from the University of Leuven, Belgium with a Ph.D. in bio-engineering. After graduation, I joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a postdoctoral research fellow and conducted researches on cancer cells to help develop new treatment options for Leukemia. During my Ph.D. and my time at Georgia Tech I have gained extensive experience in teaching and mentoring of diverse groups of graduate and undergraduate students. My passion for mentoring led me to start the Kumon Center at Alpharetta - Holcomb Bridge.
I have been a Kumon instructor since 2016 at the Holcomb bridge neighborhood, and coached several hundred students to learn and develop the mastery in math and reading. The mastery leads to the boost in their confidence, time management and self-learning skills. Kumon has been a magic that turned things around for several of our students in our Holcomb Bridge Center. Those magical moments push me to work harder to continue to see the confidence in every child that I come across at the center. I look forward to seeing your child there.
Personally, I am a mom of two active and creative children. My older child was my very first Kumon student who helped me witness the possibilities of self-learning in Kumon Method. Both my children started their Kumon journey at age 3. Being a Kumon parent myself, I easily understand the parent perspective and consider parents as a strong pillar in the three way partnership of student-parent-instructor in the Kumon journey. I will add strong value to your child's academic journey by identifying their individual strengths and areas for development and nurture the self-learner in each one of them at their own pace.
