About Your Instructor

Aasima Tambey

Welcome to Kumon of Pembroke Pines - Silver Lakes. My name is Aasima Tambey and I have been a Kumon instructor since 2015. Before joining Kumon, I worked as a teacher for 7 years and then a director for 4years at a private educational institution. With my passion for teaching, I loved the philosophy of Kumon, where each student progresses at their own potential. Being a parent of three and with my experience of working with students of different ages for more than 22 years; it has been a beautiful journey teaching your children and instilling the foundational skills that make them excel.

I have a Masters in English Literature, and B.Sc. and a C.D.A. I have been a Kumon parent for 8 years and seeing my daughter's achievements and academic excellence, has only made me a strong believer of the Kumon program. I love to see my students grow and develop into independent individuals with a sound foundation in math and reading.With my parents, my students and my remarkable staff, we make an awesome team working together towards a united goal of building and developing our children. Kumon has given me a great opportunity to teach and guide our future leaders! It will be my pleasure to have your child at our center and welcome you to Kumon!

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
