About Your Instructor
Salome Owusu-Achampong
Welcome! I am thrilled to lead the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Pocatello and support your child on their journey toward academic independence and confidence. As a mother of three young kids, I understand the unique joy and effort it takes to shape young minds, and with almost two decades of experience in academic administration and student engagement, I am deeply committed to helping every student discover their true potential in math and reading.
My Bachelor’s degree and MBA established my longtime career in higher education administration, while acquiring a Master’s in Educational Leadership provided the specialized framework needed to lead elementary reading initiatives, direct community literacy programs, and support early childhood learning. Through these diverse roles, I’ve learned that learning isn't one-size-fits-all—it relies on building strong foundational skills and encouraging self-driven learning habits that last a lifetime.
At our center, I focus on creating a welcoming, structured environment tailored to your child's individual pace. I work closely with both students and parents to track progress, celebrate milestones and ensure every child gains the self-confidence needed to tackle new academic challenges.
I look forward to partnering with your family to build a bright educational foundation!
