About Your Instructor
SHEELA DILEEP KUMAR
My name is Sheela Kumar and I am your Kumon Instructor. With a Bachelor's degree in Business and Accounts, I started my career in Banking and Finance. While working in different capacities in the banking sector for 11 years, I found a passion for education and took keen interest in participating in my children's education. I came across the Kumon Program when my eldest daughter needed help with her 7th grade math skills.
I was so impressed with the change the Kumon Program brought to my daughter and her confidence that I thought of becoming a Kumon Instructor. My goal was to help children in our community by giving them a stronger foundation and boosting their self-confidence. With an extensive training at the Kumon Corporate Office in New Jersey and volunteering at different centers, I came to take over the Kumon of Prospect in 2012. Since then, I have helped a number of children to achieve great results, build self-confidence, and improve self-learning skills.
I feel happy and proud of myself that I can invest in my community and our future in this way. My greatest hope is to continue building all of these skills and confidence levels in as many children as possible for many years to come.
