About the Center

Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Redmond-Downtown.

The Redmond Center, established in 1992, is one of the oldest Kumon Centers in the Pacific Northwest. It is conveniently located in the Redmond Town Center between Thai Ginger and The Guitar Center on the 2nd floor above The Gap. 

Policies

VACATION WORK

Please give a minimum of two weeks notice for long term vacation planning. We will not accept notices the day of for more than one additional week of work and this will only be provided if time permits.


TO DISCONTINUE KUMON PROGRAM

Kumon of Redmond-Downtown requires one complete calendar month notice to discontinue the program. For any request to discontinue received in the current month, the stop applies to the end of the following calendar month. For example, written notice received April 10th, means the last day of Kumon is May 31st, as tuition is based on the calendar month.

  • We are always looking for enthusiastic employees who love to work with children.  A person must deal well with staying busy during peak class times. 

    Working hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 4:00 to7:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 to 7:00.  We ask that assistants be available to work a minimum of two shifts per week. Our employee work schedule only updates every quarter.  This is to allow for changes college students may have for their new quarterly class schedule.

    Many of our assistants start with us as high school students and stay through college.  We do our best to ensure the Center is as good a place to work as it is for students to attend class. 

    We have positions available as worksheet graders, Early Learner Assistants who work directly with preschool age children, and data entry.  These positions start at Washington State's minimum wage rate and do not have benefits other than what is required by state law.
