About Your Instructor
Jondolon Bush
As the Instructor of Kumon Math & Reading Center of Riverside – Hawarden Hills, my passion is helping children discover the confidence that comes from becoming independent learners. Every child has unique abilities, and I believe that with consistent practice, encouragement, and the right guidance, every student can achieve far more than they—or even their parents—may have imagined.
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, and my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Fresno. Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, I spent more than 15 years in leadership roles with companies including Walmart, Amazon, and 7-Eleven, where I was responsible for developing high-performing teams, coaching individuals to reach their potential, and creating environments where people could succeed. Those experiences reinforced a principle that has guided my career: meaningful success is rarely achieved through one big moment, but through consistent improvement over time—a philosophy that perfectly aligns with the Kumon Method.
My journey with Kumon began long before opening my center. As a father, I enrolled both of my daughters in Kumon when they were 3 years old, where they have now been studying for more than six years. Watching them grow into confident, independent learners while advancing well beyond their grade levels transformed my perspective on education. Their experience showed me firsthand that Kumon develops much more than academic skills—it cultivates perseverance, discipline, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. Seeing that transformation inspired me to share the same opportunity with other families in our community.
Today, I have the privilege of working with students from preschool through high school, helping each child progress at a pace tailored to their individual ability. Whether a student is building foundational skills, catching up to grade level, or seeking additional academic challenge, my goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their personal best. I believe education is most successful when instructors and parents work together as partners, celebrating progress while encouraging perseverance through challenges.
I firmly believe that small daily improvements, practiced consistently over time, lead to extraordinary long-term results. That simple philosophy is at the heart of the Kumon Method and guides everything we do at our center. It is my privilege to help students build not only stronger math and reading skills, but also the confidence, independence, and lifelong learning habits that will serve them well beyond the classroom. I look forward to meeting your family and helping your child discover just how much they are capable of achieving.
