Welcome to Kumon Math and Reading Center of Sandy. For more than 50 years, the Kumon after-school academic enrichment program has been helping children achieve success worldwide. Since opening in 2008, our Kumon Center strives for the same success, motivating all of our students to perform at their highest potential. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve success, the ability to work independently, and a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
Kumon of Sandy has recently made some improvements to our center which have resulted in positive feedback from our students and parents.
- Being in operation for more than 5 years, we are currently producing an average of 10 honor roll students a month.
- Our island style layout has provided a better space for our students to stay focused on work and has resulted in more efficient time spent at the center.
- We have introduced a Book Tracker program where students select a book to read and then write a synopsis of what they have read. This program motivates students to read more books, enhances their critical thinking skills and improves their writing skills.
- Our center holds an Award Ceremony once a year. These ceremonies provide an excellent platform to motivate and encourage our students to work hard and complete the program.
