About Your Instructor

Joyce Coffey

Joyce has a Business Degree from the University of Alberta and stays up to date attending as many Kumon developmental opportunities as she can. She has been a member of Gateway, which is a group who study higher level reading and math, plus, how to support self learners to reach these levels more quickly. She has had many students who were able to complete their high school reading and first year of university in math, some doing this by grade 8!
Joyce is very approachable and personable. She has a great sense of humor and uses it to help students feel at ease. She is passionate about every student’s success and works hard to help them achieve their goals. She loves knitting and runs whenever her foot lets her do this favourite activity. She also enjoys chatting over a cup of coffee and is totally in love with being a grandmother to 4!

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
