Viyamina Chand
I am passionate about helping children build confidence and become independent learners. I have a natural ability to connect with students and guide them as they grow in self‑belief and discover their potential.
My Kumon journey began over three years ago, starting as an assistant and progressing to Chief Assistant. During this time, I experienced the joy of supporting students—one worksheet and one family at a time. Those moments shaped my commitment to education and inspired me to take the next step.
Today, as a Kumon Instructor in the Houston community, I am excited to support even more families and make a meaningful impact. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications. Beyond academics, I taught Tamil at Woodlands Tamil School as a volunteer teacher for five years and served as a Teacher Representative for two years—experiences that strengthened my dedication to teaching and community service.
