About Your Instructor
Foley Ma
Hello! I’m Foley Ma, Center Director at Kumon of Suwanee East. We proudly serve families in Suwanee, Lawrenceville, and surrounding Gwinnett County communities with a high-quality after-school learning program focused on math, reading, and developing strong independent learning skills.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Prior to my role as Center Director, I spent 20 years in the tech industry as a software engineer, managing teams and mentoring engineers. I contributed to software products across the avionics, finance, automotive, and healthcare sectors. At the same time, I’ve always had a deep interest in education—tutoring elementary and middle school students, teaching computer science remotely during the pandemic, and volunteering with FIRST Robotics and engineering camps.
Prior to becoming Center Director, my two children were (and still are) Kumon students. I’ve seen firsthand how the Kumon Method helps children build focus, confidence, and lasting academic strength. I hope to bring that same experience to other families in the area who are looking for something that is more than just tutoring.
At Kumon of Suwanee East, we are proud to have a team of passionate and qualified instructors, the majority of whom hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in their fields. Together, we guide students through individualized study plans designed for long-term growth. Our center has helped many students build strong foundations in math and reading, improve study habits, and become confident, self-directed learners—often working well above grade level.
Whether your child needs extra support to catch up or is already ahead and wants to stay ahead, Kumon of Suwanee East offers a consistent, proven program to help them succeed.
