I have an MA in English and a Teaching Degree. I attended Madonna University to prepare for my teacher certification and received a Teaching Certificate from the State of Michigan. I worked in an elementary school for a couple of years. I heard about the Kumon Math and Reading Program through a friend and enrolled my four year old son in the program. This did wonders for his math and reading comprehension skills, academic confidence and study habits. I was so impressed with the program that I began training as a Kumon Instructor and opened my first center in Taylor in August 1999. I enrolled my two daughters in the program at my center. In a couple of years there was a need for a center in the Downriver area and I opened my second center in Woodhaven in April 2002. I am very proud to be able to offer this service in this community and I look forward to working with your children.
