About Your Instructor
Anu Sehgal
I come from a family of educators where academic excellence and nurturing curiosity are core values. This foundation, combined with my experience as a parent and community education advocate, led me to become a Kumon Instructor.
Before joining Kumon, I spent 16 dynamic years in management consulting, corporate finance, and banking. I then took a four year sabbatical to focus on my other interests. During this period, I observed how children learn, persist and thrive when given the right structure and encouragement.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Calcutta - two of India’s most respected institutions. Kumon’s method aligns deeply with my personal values: nurturing independent learners, developing perseverance through steady daily practice, and helping students build genuine confidence by mastering each step before moving on. I’ve seen time and again that when children experience success in small, consistent increments, they begin to believe in what they can do next.
Since 2023, I have been serving as the Parent Council Executive at our neighborhood elementary school, where I advocate for strong parent-school partnerships and equitable access to learning.
I'm excited to partner with families to help every student unlock their potential, build confidence, and develop lifelong learning skills.
