In order to maintain a safe environment for students, and to comply with regulatory agencies, we have developed a Health and Safety Plan summarized below.  Our primary concern is the health and safety of our students and staff. Please read the following so you are aware of our procedures, and contact us with any questions.

Health & Safety Plan Summary

Cleanliness Policies

  • The Center will be disinfected prior to reopening for students, with additional cleaning measures occurring daily:

    • Disinfecting occurring during center hours, every 60 minutes focusing on all commonly used areas and items, as recommended by the CDC.

    • Disinfecting tables/stools between student rotation.

  • The Center’s doors will be opened once every hour to allow for increased air flow and ventilation.

Safety Protocols

  • The Center will reopen in a hybrid learning environment, allowing for in-person and virtual learning sessions.  In-person sessions will be limiting the occupancy to 25 persons in the Center at any given time, in accordance with state occupancy requirements of 50% capacity.

    • Students will be scheduled to ensure we do not exceed the occupancy requirements.

  • The student and assistant desks and stools will be spaced throughout the center to allow for proper 6-foot distancing.

  • The Center will implement and communicate hygiene measures for parents, students, and staff to follow, including:

    • Requiring the use of masks

    • Temperature checks upon entry with a touchless thermometer

    • Asking students to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the center.

    • Students will be responsible for bringing their own pencils and erasers, in order to not share items.

    • Staff will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the center, and hourly during their shift.

    • Posting CDC and hygiene flyers in the Center

  • The parent waiting area of our center will be closed to prevent unnecessary gathering and reduce occupancy within the center.

Health Monitoring

  • Staff and students/parents who have been sick or symptomatic will be required to stay home and not attend the center.

  • In the event our center is exposed to a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19, we will refer to the guidance provided by the State of Pennsylvania and the Center for Disease Control for proper handling and communication.

  • Any student who arrives with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to enter the center.
