Hello everyone & welcome to the Kumon of Willowbrook!
My journey with Kumon began very early as I started the program at three years old. I successfully completed the Kumon Reading Program and the majority of the Kumon Math Program by middle school. In high school, I was given the opportunity to work as a Center Assistant under many unique instructors for almost four years. I went on to graduate college with a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management & Information Systems, and a minor in Data Analytics. Although I enjoyed working in the corporate world, I realized I was not getting the same satisfaction as I did with teaching.
Being a former Kumon student myself, I have seen firsthand the difference that it makes in a child’s education. I feel so privileged to be able to give back to my community by inspiring young minds. I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. Through the Kumon Method, our center aims to foster sound, capable individuals who can succeed in achieving their goals in life. We include individualized instruction, foster self-learning, and small-step worksheets.
As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment daily and within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. As an experienced and certified Kumon instructor, I will continue to review your child's progress by evaluating students' worksheets. This enables me to fine-tune individual lesson plans, if necessary. My role is to bring out the highest potential in each individual!
