Introduction

Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center of Woburn, MA.

Our Vision Statement:

“At the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Woburn, we envision nurturing every student's potential through personalized learning and dedicated guidance. We strive to empower each learner with the skills and confidence to excel academically, fostering a lifelong love for learning and a strong foundation for future success. Our commitment lies in creating a supportive environment where every student can achieve their fullest potential and thrive both academically and personally."

For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her develop a love of learning.

Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

Please allow around 25 (one subject) to 45-50 minutes (two Subjects) to complete work in the Center, so please try to arrive at your assigned slot. If for some reason you need to change the time slot assigned please email us one week before you would like the change to happen.

Due on First Day: Enrollment fee, materials fees and 1st month tuition are due on the first day of class. Tuition is processed on the 1st of the month.

Recommended Enrollment for 12 months: It is a minimum of 6 months contract. We do not allow switching subjects during this time. If you decide to leave the program, we need one calendar month’s written notice.

Absence/Holidays: If you ever have to miss a class, please call or email us, so that we can make alternate arrangements for you to pick-up your Kumon assignments. No adjustments are made to the tuition for missed classes.

The center follows the Woburn School Holiday schedule. The schedule is also posted on the website. No makeup class is made for the holidays. Center will also follow the public school decisions on whether to open/close during inclement weather.

Home Grading: Parents will home grade the homework assignments daily in red pen using the loaned answer book. Please make sure the children write their name, date and start and end time on the first page of the homework set, this is crucial to track student’s progress. Children should correct the mistakes immediately at home after home grading is done.

Drop off/ Pick up: You will drop off your child/ren at the assigned time slot. Parents must come inside the parent waiting room to pick up their child. This is not a day care, so students are expected to be picked up within a reasonable time of 25 minutes if doing one subject and 45 minutes if dual subject. Parents should wait in the parent waiting area for children under 6 years.
