About Your Instructor

Yu (Alissa) Gong

My name is Alissa Gong, and I am the Head Instructor of the Kumon Burnaby - Kensington Square Centre. I started my Kumon journey in 2015 - it has been an extraordinary one.

For the past ten years, our staff team has been serving the North Burnaby community while upholding the Kumon philosophy, maintaining consistent enthusiasm for our student's well-being, and continuing to refine our teaching practices.

We look forward to helping your child to become academically capable, independent and self-reliant.

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
