Commit to Learn Pledge
Kumon is a long-term program. While every child’s progress is different, Kumon students often reach important milestones, step-by-step, as they work their way through the program.
§ Months 1-3: This is when students typically establish their daily Kumon routine and progress through the early worksheets with confidence and focus.
§ Months 4-6: As the work becomes more challenging, students are able to solidify their fundamental skills and further develop study habits for long-term success.
§ Months 7-9: Along with improved academic ability, students at this stage are typically applying the skills they have learned and acquiring the discipline needed to strive for long-term goals.
§ Months 10-12: By this point, students will often get to experience advanced material. This is a new beginning for students to start self-learning and discovering their own true potential.
For my child to receive the full benefits of the Kumon Method, I commit to support my child to develop the study habits that will last a lifetime*:
□ I understand that building a solid academic foundation through Kumon takes time.
□ I acknowledge that my child needs to attend class regularly, complete their Kumon assignments daily, and study without interruption for a period of at least 12 months in order to receive the full benefits of the program.
□ I commit to work with the Instructor and help my child prioritize their Kumon work so that they can establish the habits and skills that are critical for lifelong success.
*This is not a binding agreement. Please inquire with the Instructor for details regarding requests to discontinue the program.
