About Your Instructor
Salwa Hafid
My name is Salwa Hafid, a Kumon Instructor with a lifelong passion for education.
In addition to my experience with Kumon, I hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Ottawa. I also have a Master’s degree in Engineering Science, specializing in Computer Science, from Polytech Tours, and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education. Teaching has always been more than a career for me — it’s a true calling.
Since 2021, I’ve been working with the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO), and I bring over 13 years of experience in project and team management, which has helped me build strong organizational and leadership skills.
I am a certified teacher from Kindergarten to Grade 12, with additional qualifications in Mathematics (elementary and secondary levels), Special Education, and Technology Integration in the Classroom. My goal has always been to give every child the best possible chance to succeed, in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Most importantly, I’m also the mother of a Kumon student, so I’ve seen firsthand the many benefits of this method. I’m fully committed to guiding each child with care, patience, and enthusiasm. My mission is to help every student progress at their own pace, build confidence, and develop a true love for learning.
