About Your Instructor
Qian (Richard) Lu
Holding a master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa, Richard has worked at multiple Fortune 500 companies in engineering, consulting and leadership roles for 20+ years. With his operational and management skills, he successfully developed this center to be the largest Kumon centre in Canada based on total number of enrollments.
With a true passion for education, Richard enjoys working with children and has an earnest desire to help them succeed. He serves as a mentor who guides his students through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. He knows each student by heart and always tailors the study plan for each of them. This close attention helps his students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.
With more and more parents observing their children’s improvement through the Kumon program, Richard’s Kumon centre becomes the most referred Kumon centre by parents in Canada.
