About Your Instructor
Ming Chang
As a Kumon instructor, I focus on fostering an empathetic and supportive environment where students can build a strong academic foundation. My 10 years of experience as a university professor, teaching in Asia and the U.S., along with 6 years as a Kumon instructor, have enriched my approach to education. As a linguist, my research in language education and teaching has resulted in international publications, keynote speaking roles at global conferences, and work as a textbook editor prior to joining Kumon.
As both an educator and a parent, I understand deeply the importance of nurturing confidence and independence in young learners. Using the Kumon method, we design personalized study plans, adjust those plans continuously based on students’ progress, and provide tailored guidance. This approach helps students discover their abilities and develop lifelong learning skills.
With a rich background in education, I bring a global perspective and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic potential. At Kumon Poco Hyde Creek, our mission is to inspire confidence and a love of learning in every student we serve.
