My name is Yvonne To, and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Richmond Hill - Richmond Green. My dedication to Kumon started with my own Kumon experience as a student, as well as a parent, seeing my own children thriving in the program as it transcends to their school’s academic performance. Nothing is more rewarding than to witness children gaining self-confidence in all their school subjects and seeing their love of learning grow.
I studied at Queen’s University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology. For over 15 years, I’ve had careers at reputable corporations in the safety certification & financial asset management fields. My passion for working with children began as far back as high school during many leadership roles in fellowship and it has continued with me into my adult life, teaching primary grades at church for over 20 years.
I am dedicated to fully pursue the potential of each student by providing the right level of guidance and support. The Kumon philosophy can help build self-esteem, and self-learning for students to take on new challenges. I look forward to working closely with my students and their families to support them on their Kumon journey to finding their full potential. Together, let’s encourage our children to tackle obstacles and face new challenges!
I truly believe that success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. It is my role to show students to love what they are doing and become successful. Never under estimate the power of how life-long learning can significantly impact our society.
