About Your Instructor

Janet Mockler

Hi, I’m Janet, a dedicated Kumon Instructor with over 14 years of experience, helping children in Scarborough build strong math and reading skills, confidence, and independence. My passion for education started early. I excelled in Math and English throughout school and went on to study Biology at the University of Toronto, focusing on human and plant physiology.

Beyond academics, I was a Canadian Rowing Champion and later pursued my love for technical and scientific illustration at Sheridan College, illustrating over 300 botanical works featured in Conifers of the World. My career evolved into software design at IBM, but my true calling has always been helping children succeed through Kumon.

At my established Kumon Centre, I tailor learning plans to meet each child’s unique needs. Whether your child needs extra support in math and reading, enrichment, or help developing independent learning skills, I’m here to guide them.
