Gulcin Gur-Duzgun
I’m Gulcin Duzgun, Instructor of the Kumon Math & Reading Centre of Thorold.
As both a parent and educator, I understand that every child learns differently. My passion is helping students build strong academic foundations, develop confidence, and discover that they are capable of achieving more than they may have thought possible.
At Kumon, I work closely with each student to identify an individualized starting point that allows them to experience success while steadily developing new skills. Through consistent practice and daily learning habits, students strengthen not only their math and reading abilities but also their concentration, perseverance, independence, and problem-solving skills.
My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel encouraged, challenged, and motivated to reach their full potential. I believe that confidence grows through achievement, and I take great pride in celebrating every milestone along a student’s learning journey.
I enjoy partnering with families to help children develop the skills and habits needed for long-term academic success. Whether a student is seeking enrichment, catching up on foundational concepts, or looking to become more independent in their learning, I am committed to helping them progress at a pace that is right for them.
