Saturday students who pick up packages bi-weekly or monthly will be given the full summer package on June 22/24 unless otherwise notified as changing class distribution days to Mondays or Wednesdays for July & August. All students are welcome to attend the Monday and Wednesday classes during July & August.
Digital Kumon
All students studying on Math Levels 6A-L and Reading Levels 7A-FII are invited to transfer to digital studies with two weeks of notice. Tablet study offers the same daily study of Kumon worksheets-just on a tablet! Students use a stylus instead of a pencil and would attend classes as usual with their tablet and stylus. All marking is completed by Kumon Canada staff.
Requirements: students must have a tablet and a stylus (we have stylus’ available for purchase).

Absences and Mailbox:
All students that are unable to attend a class and are scheduled to pick up a new package will have their package placed in the hallway for pickup. Any requests for mailbox must be picked up prior to the subsequent class to make sure that students have enough time to complete their assigned work and to allow room for the next class assignments to go in the mailbox for other students. If work is not picked up by the next scheduled class and we have not had any contact, we will automatically mark the student absent for the week and readjust assignments for their next scheduled class (according to their distribution day).
Home grading and Kumon Dollars:
Students and parents have exerted effort to bring their answered worksheets to the center. Grading is one way of praising them for their effort. Thus, this action maintains student’s motivation as they see 100% and check marks. Also, it is one way to instill self-learning among students. By using grading as the first stage of instruction, we can give students hints on what actions to do to be able to achieve 100% – all without saying a word! We encourage all parents or older students to mark their worksheets daily. This will help students’ skills improve and progress further. Kumon dollars are given at each student pickup (indicated as the first day on their homework organizer) if all homework is completed, graded and corrected.
