About Your Instructor
Sukhjot Parmar
Hello! My name is Sukhjot Parmar and I am passionate about helping students achieve academic success through the Kumon method. As both a former Kumon student and a Kumon assistant, I have deep understanding of the unique approach Kumon takes to foster independent learning and build strong foundational skills in math and reading.
I started my journey with Kumon a a student, and the program played a pivotal role in shaping my academic development. The self-learning approach instilled in me a sense of discipline, confidence, and resilience that continues to guide me today. Having experienced the benefit of Kumon firsthand, I am now excited to give back my supporting students in their own learning journey.
In addition to my background as a Kumon student, I have also worked as Kumon Assistant, where I gained hands-on experience in helping students progress through their Kumon worksheets, providing guidance, and ensuring they understand the key concepts. This role has given me a strong foundation in educating and understanding how to tailor support to individual students' needs.
I hold a degree in Health Studies from the University of Manitoba, where I developed a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to fostering well-being. This background helps me approach each student with patience, empathy, and a holistic perspective on their learning.
As a Kumon instructor, my goal is to help each student build confidence in their abilities an develop a love for learning. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and I am here to support them every step of the way.
