About Your Instructor

Roger Kim

Currently I am the Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Coquitlam – Creekside, which I have managed since 2021, and I am excited to add Burnaby Heights as of May 2026. In addition to my training and experience as a Kumon Instructor, my academic credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UBC. In the past, I have also coached high school volleyball for over a decade but now focus my time solely on Kumon. I came to the realization that although teaching kids how to play volleyball was rewarding, teaching them to become better academically would be far more beneficial for their future. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your plans and goals for your children in the Kumon Math and Reading programs and to assist your children with their academic enrichment.

How Does the Assessment Work?

Your free assessment helps us understand your child’s current learning level so we can recommend the best starting point. During the assessment, your child will complete a placement test, and the instructor will review the results with you and explain how the Kumon Program can support your child’s individual learning needs.

There is no obligation to enroll, and you can reschedule your appointment at any time.
