About Your Instructor
Victoria Elliott
As a dedicated educator and mother of two boys enrolled in French immersion, I am thrilled to bring the Kumon Method to families in Courtenay, British Columbia. My family and I moved to the Comox Valley five years ago, and it has truly become our home. I have been a teacher for over fifteen years, teaching a wide range of subjects including Physical Education, English, Social Studies, and French to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Education from Vancouver Island University, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. My passion for education and lifelong learning has guided me throughout my career, and it continues to inspire me in this new chapter.
I first discovered the Kumon Program in the summer of 2024 while visiting friends in Ontario. After learning more about the program’s philosophy and witnessing its impact, I knew I wanted my own children to benefit from it. When I realized there was no Kumon Centre in the Comox Valley, I was determined to bring this incredible opportunity to our community. One and a half years later, I am excited and proud to open the doors of the Courtenay Kumon Centre.
