Just a quick update. St Johns County Schools has changed their masking requirements. It is now optional for students to wear masks in school. Kumon will shift to a similar optional status beginning this week. I am so thankful for all the parents who have been so conscientious regarding students who are sick. I hope we keep that same level of thoughtfulness moving forward. I do kindly request the students who have severe allergies and are in a reactive time, please consider having your student mask in the center. Finally, all of the cleaning practices in place through the pandemic will continue in the center. Students will sanitize their hand when entering, Kumon will be professionally sanitized weekly, tables will be cleaned after a student leaves, and we will continue to Omnishiel all surfaces in the center quarterly..
Back to School 2021 is upon us! The center was sanitized today and Omnishield was reapplied to all surfaces. I believe the Omnishield will be a permanent addition to the center's cleanliness regimen. Please notice all staff are again masking while in the center. I feel this is the best response to the latest surge in Covid19 cases in the Jacksonville area. We will continue to sanitize the center weekly, as well as cleaning student hands upon entering and sanitizing workspaces between students. As all of our summer travelers return to the center, please be mindful of your students scheduled time. I will continue to keep the center capacity below 70%.
