Appolina (Lina) Rego
My Kumon journey started as a Kumon Parent when my kids started their Kumon program. So from a Kumon Parent to a Kumon Centre Owner, it has been a great experience.
My name is Lina Rego and I am the Instructor at Kumon of Milton West.
Graduating in Science with distinction, I completed my Kumon Instructors' Training from Kumon University, New Jersey - US. I started my Kumon Centre in February 2012. Since then, I have dedicated myself to nurturing students' self confidence in their ability to achieve success and reach their academic goals. All students have the potential but they need a solid platform to bring the most out of it and excel. Due to my deep love for education and the empowerment it can create for students, I have been constantly working towards motivating and helping students to cope with anxiety towards their Math and/or Reading skills.
My students are always my focus and priority. Our structured Kumon programs have helped even our timid students to be confident speakers and those who struggled in schools have amazed their teachers, classmates and their parents. My team and myself work towards developing confidence and determination amongst our students so that they reach academic success and thus attain important life skills.

However, the success of our Kumon program is a team effort. Parents' commitment and involvement in ensuring that the students complete their daily homework is very important for the progress of the students. While in class focusing on the students, it may not be possible to give feedback after each class or during class time, but please feel free to email me to book a time outside of the class time to discuss your child uninterrupted.
I feel proud to give back to my community and develop smarter students, who will excel in their future endeavors.
