About Your Instructor
Benu Maini
My name is Benu Maini and I have been the Instructor at the Kumon Centre since March 2005. I have my BSc in Physics and Math with a Master’s in Physics and a minor in Math as well. I also have two years of research experience with my MPhil degree in Physics. Teaching mathematics and physics in a private high school was where I developed a passion for helping students to achieve beyond what was expected. This is where I understood how important independent learning is to understand and excel in any academic course.
I had the opportunity to watch both of my daughters finish both the Kumon Math and Reading Programs. As a parent, I saw firsthand the benefit of the program and as an Instructor, I was able to understand each level in more depth. My elder daughter finished the IBT program and the younger one IB program in high school. The older one has professional designation of CFA after finishing her Master’s in Finance from the very prestigious Queen's University. The younger one is pursuing her medicine program after finishing Bhsc from McMaster University.
It’s the power of individual planning which makes the Kumon program excellent for each and every student in school and beyond.
Many students from our centre have also followed IB, IBT, SCI-TECH, AP-ADVANCED PLACEMENT or other advanced academic programs and are successfully working towards achieving their goals in universities and beyond. The benefits of Kumon are not limited to only Math and Reading- it’s the ability to learn independently which takes them as far as they can dream.
