About the Center

Welcome to the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Rancho Santa Margarita. For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Whether your child is seeking enrichment, needs help catching up or is just beginning his or her academic career, Kumon is designed to help him or her gain the skills needed for lifetime success.

In our center, students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.

The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus. For more information about the Kumon Math Program, click here.

The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension. For more information about the Kumon Reading Program, click here.

Please call or schedule a free orientation for information on pricing. We are significantly less expensive than private tutors and "quick fix" types of tutoring programs in Orange County.

Enrollment period:

Enrollment period of six months minimum is required. However, we do have an option for a month to month enrollment. One year of Kumon studies is recommended to study beyond grade level.

Discontinuing Kumon:

Written notification by the 1st of the month (30 days advanced notice) is required.

Absent from class and picking up work:

Call or text the center before closing (6:30 pm on Monday & Thursday, and 5:00 pm on Tuesday) and let us know that you want to pick up the worksheets. We will leave them in the mailbox for you to pick up.

Early Learner Assistant (Preschool-2nd grade)

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ideal for college students.

  2. Must enjoy working with children
  3.  Enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have ability to multi-task

  4.  English is a primary language as you are teaching students alphabetic knowledge, letter sounds, consonant combinations, and vowel patterns.

  5  Preschool/Kinder experience a plus!

  6 Must pass math and English tests
