Tsui Ping (Emily) Ma
Welcome to Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Richmond Hill – located conveniently at Highway 7 and Chalmers Road! My name is Emily Ma, and I am delighted to be the instructor at your local Kumon Centre!
Over the many years of schooling and working in various globally recognized universities, I have had the privilege to experience and meet many great leaders within the academic world. Not only have they all inspired me to be a contributor to the global education field, the journey has also shaped me to become an advocate for lifelong positive learning regardless of one’s ultimate goal. This experience has also enriched my understanding of program recruitment processes and the type of student candidates these tertiary institutions look to attract.
But most importantly, in my point of view, is the view as a parent who wants to see a young individual grow and prosper in a happy supportive setting, be confident in their own endeavours, and ultimately achieve life goals and objectives. I understand the world is complicated, but I also understand being a student and learning should also be enjoyable with support and guidance. This is why I look to focus on building a foundation of enjoyable learning to appreciate everything life has to offer from a young age. This ideology compliments wholly with Kumon’s own philosophy to empower students to self-learn and discover their problem-solving skills when facing challenges, while building confidence along the way. Patience and understanding are keys to success as I am sure we all know and share!
