About Your Instructor
Miriam Louie
Hello, I’m Miriam, a CPA and finance professional and a graduate of the University of Toronto. After building a rewarding and growing career in the corporate world overseas and in Canada, I made the decision to pursue something deeply meaningful to me: helping children build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
As a Kumon parent myself, I experienced firsthand the positive impact that the Kumon Method can have on a child’s learning journey. I saw how consistent practice, learning at the right level, and developing independence can help children grow not only academically, but also in confidence, focus, and perseverance.
My professional experience has taught me the importance of strong foundations, discipline, critical thinking, and setting goals. As a Kumon Instructor, I now have the opportunity to bring those values into an environment where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
I believe every child has the ability to learn and grow. My role is to understand where each student is, encourage them to take on challenges, and help them develop the confidence and independence to keep moving forward.
Leaving a growing corporate career to work with children was an important and personal decision for me. I am grateful for the opportunity to do work that is both purposeful and rewarding, and I look forward to supporting our students and families on their Kumon journey.
