CHARULATHA DAVALATH

Hello! I am Charulatha Davalath. I am the Instructor at Kumon of Spring - Birnham Woods. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Math. In the past, I have worked with hundreds of students at Kumon and in public school. I was previously a high school Math teacher and I hold my teaching certification in Texas. I taught Geometry, Algebra II and Calculus at Southwest High School. I worked as an SAP Systems Analyst at National Oil before entering into education.

I have had the privilege to work with both advanced students as well as with students who have had only basic skills. It is very exciting to see how Kumon can give all students a taste of success and bring back their confidence. With the excellent students I have at the Spring Birnham Woods Center, it has been an amazing experience to work with a very diverse array of students with different needs and learning styles. It is so fascinating to see how the Kumon Program has made a difference in building confidence and concentration along with math and reading skills in children.

With such a vivid experience, my appreciation of Kumon has grown. I have firsthand experience with my own two children in Kumon for the past several years. Now both are young adults, pursuing their most desired advanced studies. As a parent, I am very grateful for the number of skills my children acquired via their Kumon study. I have been amazed at the results that all of the students achieve in the Kumon Math and Reading Program.

I have been very fortunate to have work experience in both the corporate world and in education. I truly enjoy working with the Kumon Students so much that my own children have made comments on how passionate I am when I am with the students. I strongly believe that as a team consisting of Instructor, student, and parent, we can achieve your desired goals.
