Dhruvi Patel (Mrs. Patel)
I hold a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting and have completed my master's in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, I am a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor. After gaining professional experience in accounting for several years, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching. As a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor, I have been teaching Yoga to children, aiming to instill a love for physical activity and confidence in them. My finance background and teaching skills make me an excellent fit for working with children at Kumon.
Our family's adventures have taken us across various corners of the globe, including India, Dubai, the USA, Singapore, and Canada. My commitment to Kumon persisted as I expanded my career, and saw my own daughter excel as a Kumon student. We loved the fact that she was able to continue her Kumon studies seamlessly in different parts of the world and this consistency and routine not only helped her stay confident but also excel in school. Our first Centre was founded in 2018 in St. Catharines. We thereafter established two additional Kumon Centers in Welland and Grimsby.
I proudly follow my passion to improve lives and look forward to fostering health benefits (both mental and physical) along with my partner to build our communities we cater to. Through our partnership, we've supported numerous children in reaching their full potential by utilizing the Kumon Method, which promotes strong study habits and instills lifelong work skills.
Ankit Patel (Mr. Patel)
In 2018, I opened my first Kumon Center in St. Catharines, combining my passion for children's education with my expertise in finance, economics, and business. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting, complemented by a dual master's degree in Finance and Economics, and have an MBA in Finance, Economics, and International Business.
After immigrating to Canada from India nearly 20 years ago, I pursued my education (M.B.A) in the U.S at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I had the opportunity to work in the pharmaceutical, IT, and banking industries for over 12 years before becoming a full time small business owner as a Kumon Instructor. I primarily run Kumon Centres in Grimsby and Welland as a Director and Head Instructor.
My passion for teaching began at the age of 15 years as a high school student myself, a pursuit that endured throughout my undergraduate years. As a Kumon instructor 17 years later, I found my calling and I still find joy in helping students understand challenging material and watching them excel in their studies. Seeing our students continue to improve class after class is the most rewarding part of my job.
Through our partnership, we've supported numerous children in reaching their full potential by utilizing the Kumon Method, which promotes strong study habits and instills lifelong work skills.
